2007 Weblog Award Finalist - The Jose Vilson

2007 Weblog Award Finalist

The 2007 Weblog Awards

It looks like all the nominations and votes worked. I’m one of the finalists for Best Education Blog for the 2007 Weblog Awards. Pretty cool honor. I’m listed along a few people who have a pretty big reputation, so I’m just going along for the ride. More on that later, but in the meantime, just know I’m bustin’ my butt grading every and anything. Peace.

Update: The polls are open. Vote on. :-) …

Hi Jose,
I’m happy to have found your blog. It is thoughtful and offers up an honest assessment of what is happening in our schools. I’ll be sure to visit again and will recommend your site to my preservice teachers.
Regards,
Tricia

I read your stuff almost daily, Jose, and alway catch up if I miss a post or two. I enjoy and learn from the personal reflection and the sharing of your education experiences.

I have three edublog nominees on my short blogroll — a testament to my good taste ; — and I’m voting for each, as often as possible. (It also helps that my kind of blogger interacts with their readership!)

Good luck!

@ everyone: thanks for the compliments. Honestly, I’m just happy to be nominated

@ hugh: yes, you definitely have good taste. It takes a wicked eye to catch the best from the rest.

@ tricia: that’s a huge compliment really. forward them to me anytime. i’m willing to share what i got.

@ bam: in a word: yes.

@ frumteacher: well i would vote for you, but you’ve already got way more votes than me ;-). Good luck and I wish you the best as well :-D …

Jose, You’re one up. Today was your vote! :)

Seriously, you are the outstanding. You’ve got enough energy and creativity coursing through you to power ten outstanding educators/poets. Keep on.

“I’m voting for each, as often as possible?” (laughter) Kind of like “vote early and often”–and proof that “Election” with Reese Witherspoon’s performance as Tracy Flick really *was* an example of how high school trains kids for real life.

So–I will vote for you again. And again.

You really do rock, JV.
