[...] By the way, read what Jose did. Don’t just read the title. Don’t just look at the photo. Read. Out loud, even. (Preceded, for those interested, by less interesting prose.) [...]

My family (moi, wife and son who lives and works 143 miles away) proudly voted for Barack Obama in this historic election.

Yes, his education policy may need some work, but that's our job to help him out. Remember, we were invited to the party.

O's health plan wasn't as good as Hillary's, and it wasn't as good as the one she and Bill failed to pass, but I do think it's a huge improvement over what we have now, not to mention Maverick Johny's plan to take what we have and make it worse. I believe he wants to open up the program US employees have to US citizens, which would eliminate the preexisting condition nonsense that plagues a lot of Americans and reduce costs with volume discounts. Not perfect, but a great step forward--so pray for a 60 seat Senate majority.

On education I agree with you a bit more, but he's still head and tails over MJ. Most importantly, I don't see how this country even survives given the idiotic suicidal policies of W., all of which are endorsed by McCain. He was something special eight years ago, but he's surrendered almost everything that recommended him to win the nomination, and the rest during his slimy bottom-of-the-barrel campaign.
