A few notes:
- If you haven’t heard, Teacher Magazine / EdWeek published my first article last week! Comment there and show a brotha love! [EdWeek]
- I haven’t watched Avatar with the blue people, and I’m not watching the real Avatar: The Last Airbender, either. I highlighted this post before, but it’s worth reading now. [Racialicious]
- Klein said enrollment into summer school will double. And it’s like no big deal. [NY1]
- Rand Paul has no idea what he’s talking about now. Was you was or was you ain’t voting for the Civil Rights Act of 1964? [Mediaite]
- I watched this live, but it’s worth noting: Keith Olbermann interviewed the GOP plant Alvin Greene. I wouldn’t be so assertive unless I saw this interview. [YouTube]
- Public intellectuals: men and women in the ivory tower or brain power for the proletariat? Imani Perry explains. [The Chronicle of Higher Education]

After I started seeing photos of Avatar: The Last [White] Airbender, I knew that I would not see it.
Pisses me off how Hollywood thinks that their lack of cultural sensitivity & superiority is OK.
I didn’t see the original Avatar, and don’t plan on it, either.
