It’s That Time Again

You all know I love doing this sort of feedback business, so let me ask:

What do you think of the blog so far?

What subjects should I stick to? Veer away from? Like it as is?

More guest-posters? Anything?

Yes, I do write for myself, but oftentimes, the feedback I get here has been so pertinent in my growth as a writer and, yes, as a teacher. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks.

Jose, who’s had data up to and on to his eyeballs all dang day …

You already know I like everything about the blog, from the design to the topics, and would not change a single thing about it. But you know I’m a bit biased so maybe someone else should comment. HA!

If you could include the meaning of life MORE into your blog posts that would be ideal.

Oh, and also the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa’s body, the identity of John Kennedy’s REAL shooter(s) and the cure to the common cold.

Then I’d be your best friend for life.

    THANKS!

    Hi, Jose.

I like your approach to your blog. I also would like to read more about your thoughts re: teaching math.

Guest bloggers would be a good idea. I suppose we all should consider doing this from time to time. :) But, I’m still new at the blogging game, so, I may not be hosting anyone any time soon.

Still one of my favorites. I’ve been slacking on my commenting as with other blogs, but I still read the entries when they come up in my G-Reader.

What subjects should I stick to? Veer away from? Like it as is?
I’d like to see more of your opinions on other societal issues. For example: Politics, more of your thoughts on the economy, thoughts on higher education, etc.

    More guest-posters? Anything?
Sure. That would always be cool and give a different spin to things on the site.

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback. I’ll put some thoughts in … tonight, even.

Though I still haven’t found Hoffa’s body, no matter how hard I tried.

Jimmy is somewhere in a viaduct over a highway in Detroit…everybody knows that. But in response to your question, the blog is yours to do with what you wish, going in any direction you feel works. So far, what I have seen works. You seem to be a conscientious guy who wants to be a great teacher since the kids deserve nothing else.
Not a bad thing to be promoting, so keep fighting the good fight.

Add a forum to your site.

Reading the comments from your user base, I’d say many of them would like an outlet to share a bit more information with each other then the average comment box allows.

A forum would quench that need… and since most people here seem to be rational you would not have to tear your hair out moderating the forum either.

    Your writing is superb.

I love how you balance work and personal on your blogs. I love how you also incorporate hip hop and TV culture as well as current events.

    Don’t change a thing.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Here’s what I’d say:

Aaron, I’m taking you up on that forum stuff. Should be fun.

mzvirgo and Tom, thanks for your compliments. I’ll keep that in mind.
