As a white feminist, I know damn good and well that I owe a lot to feminists of color, and I know I’ve found a lot of inspiration in Alice Walker, Octavia Butler, Nisi Shawl, Nalo Hopkinson and others that resonated a lot more with me as a working to middle class woman than academic East Coast feminists.
